I feel like your next move is to shoot an indie film...
Hey thanks. I'm not sure I understand. I took this yesterday in Lousiana with my phone. I've been saving for a real camera though. What do you recommend?
Imgur removes photo metadata, but if you are on Windows you can right click on the original and view it's properties, then on the Details tab the should be a group called Camera. This will tell you all the pertinent settings, such as f-stop and ISO speed (carryovers from film photography). If you're getting a DSLR (and you should), get a Canon EOS. You can probably find the older ones still like the Rebel, they're really nice bits of kit -- though do check out sites like DPReview which have reviews and comparison photos etc.
Yes, of course. Thanks for the knowledge. Beautiful pics by the way. Is that your home?
My grandads, it's really beautiful up there and we're really lucky when the Red Arrows display team put on a show as it's usually right at our eye level or they fly directly over the house.
Cedar gave a good explanation, although personally (with limited experience, mind you) I prefer Nikon. Anyway, you might have read that I was a fan photographer at Fenway Park for a while and one of the biggest factors in whether or not someone would buy a picture is the amount of detail that the photographer would get. That is, is the sky present in the picture or is it all blown out? Can they see recognizable elements of the park? Are their faces dark? Are their faces shiny? Etc. Anyway, settings dude. They make or break pictures!
Gosh! I've been crossing that more or less weekly for the past year! I'd not noticed how beautiful it is. Do you sail? I'm rather tempted to take a dinghy out there...
Sailing can be a lot of fun and if you look for a local group it's very likely there's already some club or school you can join up with. I never sailed on the sea, sticking to rivers instead, and it has been a very long time :)
The last photo I took (via photobooth) Our stupid dog wedged herself in between the bed and randomuser's rolly chair while I was working. She likes to sleep behind our rolly chairs so she will wake up when we get up to go outside. Unfortunately, she wakes up to us running her over. Stupid stupid stupid. The last one from my phone is from yesterday when we were relaxing poolside in Coronado.
It's a hat I bought with my office in the background. That is Otey the Swamp Possum, a traveling hobo passum. And honestly, if that isn't the coolest fucking thing you've ever heard, I just don't know what kind of life you're living. It's also, bizarrely, given me inspiration to write a comic book, so I'll be working on that soon.
We locked him in with the car
My GPU bricked for the second time in less than a year. So I had to take photos to send through with the warranty request. I am not a happy fellow at the moment; last time I had to send it in it was gone three months waiting for the manufacturer to 'fix' whatever problem there was.
Yessir! (They keep me rather busy and I only just realized today that I haven't been on Hubski in an entire week, sorry for the late reply.)
Thought you were replying to my mushroom comment at first :( Yeah, I used to bike / walk by there quiet frequently, along Steven's Creek Trail. There's a really nice view of it from the outside, right before you reach the edge of the bay. Never seen the inside before!
I could have cherry picked the most interesting photo, but this is literally the most recent: I have to buy a car and I was doing research yesterday. I am thinking of buying a Subaru Outback. This is the package I like. I took the photo and sent it to my friend in Michigan that works for Subaru and asked how much I should actually pay for the car.
Nice. I just checked my phone. My very last shot is a running shoe that I was using for comparison shopping. It was a though, a shoe that I was going to use to climb to the top of Angel Falls in Venezuela. I will then BASE Jump in my glide suit, to then land on an already galloping horse which I would ride to the nearest beach to upload my next photo.
