How would the people of Hubski feel if I were to set up some sort of weekly/bi-weekly accountability post where goals, progress, and plans were discussed? thenewgreen mentioned how it was helpful having eightbitsamurai holding him accountable so it could be good to have that sort of environment.

I'm guessing it would be a bit like Pubski, but specifically for our goals/plans/resolutions. Perhaps there could be some sort incentive scheme? Who knows what that could be though. Tagging people who replied to this post for feedback.

In terms of my own goals:

  - Achieve a distinction in my masters
  - Wake up early every day
  - Meditate every day
  - Continue to listen more/talk less, but allow myself to ask more  questions.
  - Learn more things outside of my specialisation
  - Learn more Unity. I made some pong clone in the summer, that was fun
  - Create a considered daily schedule to facilitate all this

Mooooar blog posts. Apparently my wordpress anniversary was 2 years ago yesterday and I have...95ish followers now? And surprisingly none of them are bots. That's, like, 92 more followers than I was expecting. And lots of them comment and/or look at my stuff and are generally rather positive. Figure the least I could do is give them more content.

Aaaaand planning to forget about 2014. Which will be kind of difficult, being a student, where really I'm currently only "half way" through my year.

I'm quitting cigarettes again. I've got 17 cigs left and then I'm done.

I've got 16 hours on a plane starting... Now... So... Yeah. Traveling makes it easier to ditch the cancer sticks.

Beyond that I want to live. Learn. Love. Laugh. Cry. Experience something. And make other people happy.

And I want adventure.

And more beer and beef jerky.

As for me, Im not really sure yet. I was working out regularly on that T25 program and I did 2 months of it and quit. I blame eightbitsamurai. He was holding me accountable via pubski's and then left us for a while. My health suffered :)

I need to be more healthy. Like ghostoffuffle, I should drink less, eat less meat. Hell, maybe I should try my hand at vegetarianism again. I managed 6 months once, I could do it again. I'm saying this, while having 4 amazing Ribeye's in my fridge right now. Maybe ghostoffuffle is right to "cut back." I do too many things in extreme. Quitting something cold turkey hasn't worked well for me in the past. What I might do is to quit eating fast-food. I do this when I travel. Subway, Jimmy Johns, a burger joint here called "Cook-Out." -It's all crappy for you. I kid myself that because it isn't McDonalds or BK, it's not fast food. It is.

That will likely be my 2015 health goals. Eat less in general, eat less crap and drink less. That's all doable. I'd like to start running again too and if possible get ipreferpi to start playing tennis with me again.

I'd like to find a way to stay motivated in following through with all the plans I make for myself..

My resolution for last year was "listen more, talk less." It worked out okay, so I'm going to try it again this year, to a greater degree.

Gonna cut back on booze. Trying to cut back on meat consumption, that'll take baby steps. Planning on getting rid of all non-essential items in the house. So I guess the overarching theme is leaving a smaller footprint, moving away from conspicuous consumption. Subtract!

Those are the big, almost abstract goals. But I'd like to practice fingerstyle and blues guitar more, finally get some stuff recorded and added to the #hubskioriginalmusicclub . I'd like to do some whitewater kayaking, and, if possible, travel somewhere truly interesting.

Also I'm singing in Carnegie Hall in April with my Glee Club, so there's that.

I am planning a lot of things, on the theory that the more I plan the more likely one is to happen. Lately I've been planning to join the foreign service. Or the Peace Corps. Or go to grad school in North Rhine-Westphalia, just for the hell of it.

Like everyone else in this thread I really think I might cut back on my drinking. It obstructs gaining muscle and costs a lot. It's the only facet of my lifestyle that isn't absurdly frugal. And every night I get drunk is another night I don't go out running at 1am.

I am genuinely curious about 2015. Anything could happen.

I'm going to need to find a new project since the record label will likely be done in May. Maybe that means it's finally time to save up for MIDI keyboard and Ableton but that will take time to purchase. I have no idea what else to do right now.

I'd like to keep running and start doing 5k's, but that depends on if my feet cooperate. The other "planning" aspects are all boring and related to paying off debt and making new friends.

More cycling. My goal is to do a long-distance multi-day ride. One possibility is to cycle from London to Paris, crossing the channel either by taking a ferry at Newhaven (near Brighton) to Dieppe or taking the Channel Tunnel from Dover to Calais. Both routes take about twenty-something hours to go about 280 miles. The longest I've ever cycled in one go is 50 miles, so I will have to increase that amount before I set off on this trip by going on some one-day rides. One such ride would be to go from London to Brighton - it's about 60 miles, or 70 miles or 86 depending on the route.

I want to study in a smarter way, I spent a lot of last term pissing around which meant I had to cram in order to take my exams. I want to avoid that. Of course, I say this every term but this term was a bit different as I was in a new university (MSc) and wasn't exactly sure what to expect.

I also want to take part in political activism of some sort, I am pretty vocal and opinionated about politics but it feels increasingly like I 'ought' to take part in a more meaningful way. I don't really know...

Oh, I also got a load of tubs and things for Christmas so I can cook food and store it for later. Hopefully this will reduce the need for me to eat meals out as I will be able to take decent packed lunch with me to university every day instead of relying on overpriced cafeteria food.

Next year I want to stop procrastinating and study more. I hate the anxiety of knowing you should have done something already.

1. Fitness: Follow P/P/L/P/P/L/Rest to get them gainz.

2. Writing Satire: I have an interview with a satire website hopefully it will get me to write again.

3. Volunteering Teach for India: Giving something back to the community by assisting underprivileged kids.

I'm just gonna fucking shine.
