I am blown away. You’re right, there is no way I would have taken this in this direction. This is truly what collaboration can do. I am supremely impressed. Thank you hardtaco! Well, I suppose we can see how things go. It is nice to have a safety valve in case I am hit by a meteor between now and November 1.

By the way, I would love to see how the music for this song was tracked. How many different synth sounds are overlaid with each other? And what is that mysterious chomping sound at the end? It sounds like you are using the accordion without pushing any of the keys.

The phrasing is so awesome. Well done. The breathing sounds are chanting vocals I recorded through the Line6 DL4 and then ran backward and slowed down. I can’t recall how many synth lines there are. Not many. Most of what you are hearing are guitar parts ran through that DL4 and toggled between normal and backward slow time in a sort of rhythm. That’s the first sound you hear. Then just the bass, some strings, chorus and piano. I use the DL4 in everything I do. I’m obsessed with it. It’s the greatest thing I own. It’s so, so nice.
