Location: Toronto, Canada
From my window, the tap of rain on the rooftops and decks, the rustle of wind in the trees, and the clamour of sirens. The fall has come in rainy so far. We know winter is coming, but hope for some warm days before burrowing in.
Going up to 23 C or about 75F, Rain all day with a risk of thundershowers: a steady cloud dump - reminds me of Vancouver.
What's your weather, hubski? Take me to your window/door? Let's cross the globe: shoutouts to Cumol who might be in the Middle East somewhere; the newbie nimbus in Australia; veen in Calgary; humanodon in Boston; theadvancedapes in Brussels (?); briandmyers in NZ; insomniasexx in LA, maybe; flagamuffin in Austin; forwardslash in the Lower Mainland and all the rest of you on the east coast, Detroit, NC, elizabeth who is either in Europe or Montreal; wasoxygen; nowaypablo, galen, OftenBen, and the alpha/omega/ever-hovering eightbitsamurai in Boulder.
Location, location, location.
As I was writing, a sudden stream of sunlight slithered through the clouds as the rain continues to fall and fall.
It was a beautiful weekend here in Chapel Hill North Carolina. My daughter and I went for a nature walk behind our house and she started collecting fallen leaves that she thought were pretty. Here is one from what I think is an Aspen. We stuck them to paper and then colored all around them. The temperature has been perfect, in the low-mid 80s. Some of the leaves are starting to change color but I think we've got a good bit of summer-esque weather left. Though fall is my faborite season and October my favorite month. I'm off to play tennis at 8:30 with ipreferpi and I think the weather should be perfect. NC weather sure beats my native MI.
Location: Tenafly, Bergen County, NJ taken 7 AM coming back from a party. oops. Temperature: Mildly regretfulºF but wind makes it feel like contentment, high of headacheºF with a low of naptimeºF. Partly hazy with a chance of memory recovery. As I was walking, a sudden stream of texts sprang through my phone as the rain continued to fall and fall.
Location: Somerville, MA, USA Pictures were my right to left views while waiting for the bus. It is humid today and I sweat through my shirt. Today and yesterday were both really good days and I don't know what is going to come of what happened, but I am really rooting for the best. Oh, and yes, the picture order is dramatic; there was no tragedy of any kind involved. It's just where I happened to take my pictures for this post.
flagamuffin is wondering what you can learn from riding the bus..
Sadly, I am not in Israel right now where it is still high season summer (30°C according to my parents) but in Germany. The moment I read the post I was visiting family in Schwelm, a little city in North Rhine-Westphalia After (probably) the last good weekend of this year (26°C, people were going crazy), the weather crashed. I was 14°C yesterday, windy, rainy. I dislike this weather, gives me headaches and I feel depressed ><
Albany: Raining, about 70 degrees. Not awful for this time of year.
Location: East Lansing, Michigan, USA From the window of the Main Library, 2nd floor, East Wing, Special Collection: Asian Studies and History, intermittent rain, sometimes misting, sometimes pounding so hard it causes traffic accidents. 54 degrees Fahrenheit, 12C. Slow, steady winds promise more rain and a chilly, damp Monday. Everyone is trying their best to stop certain words from entering back into their vocabulary. Words like, 'Snow' or 'Icy.' Or maybe 'Polar Vortex,' and 'Morning whiskey.'
It is 76 degrees today in Bergen County, New Jersey. A nice, cloudy day.
You seem to be from the same county as nowaypablo. Did pablo lure you to this little corner of the web?
Yeah it was a cool coincidence, even more reason for an NYC meetup. #oneday
I would definitely be down for a meetup. How many people from the NYC/Northern NJ area are around these parts?
CenTX here. It rained a bit over the past week (it was glorious), but now we're back to standard fall weather: bright outside, about 85deg. View from my backyard's pretty sweet. Maybe later I'll take my physics HW out on the deck. I wish it was cooler. Hopefully winter will bring (hey, ho) the wind and the rain, although snow's a near impossibility. For now I'll just have to deal with the heat. PS that's the top of my finger in the bottom of the frame. #photographbetterdammit
Hopefully, winter will bring (hey, ho) the wind and the rain
... When that I was and a little tiny boy,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
A foolish thing was but a toy,
For the rain it raineth every day.
How very Twelfth Nightish of you! A great while ago the world begun,
With hey, ho, the wind and the rain,
But that’s all one, our play is done,
And we’ll strive to please you every day.
Yeah. Used to get stoned, borrow my friend's parents' expensive car and hit 620 at 4am to screw the speed limit on those hills over and over again. On the assumption that people in expensive cars don't get pulled over in Lakeway, even doing 130. It's kinda nice out there, actually.
As discussed previously, I give too much of a shit about weather. here's what it currently is, 8 feet from where I type this.
