I haven't had time to check out new music this week. I don't think I've slept since Thursday.
Good night, Hubski.
The Kinks have such a unique sound. I love Ray Davies voice. Been listening to them all week.
I'm really digging the Cranberries at the minute and here's some other stuff too:
The monks - Black Monk Time Which led pretty logically to listening to Zappa's "Freak Out": Finished up with Satori's "Flower Travellin' Band". Bit of a change up.

Please post on #hiphophubski its kind of a one (two?) man army situation right now. Welcome to Hubski!
Not so much that no. More like Action Bronson, Chance, Danny Brown, Jeezy, I'm just starting to get into Future (Really hated him for a while, even after Bugatti). I say strange because I'm otherwise a very conscientious person who is really REALLY into the most ignorant, base, rooster-in-my-'Rari type of rap. Generally speaking.
You probably want to follow #hiphophubski.Yo Hubski! Having a flick through the feed I didn't see much hip-hop.
It's usually metal, but lately... I've been feeling a softer side of Gor Gor. Also I have been driving around the forests of the pacific northwest, at night. Alone. This is good music for that. If you are ever in such a situation; or if your soul is on a solitary sojourn through some dark terrestrial landscapes. It's good for that too.
Mark Lenover Stellastar* The Cure All Them Witches Baroness Public Enemy Recoil Kid Karate
This was one of the first bands I got into. Good picks!
I've done a lot of things I shouldn't have done this weekend, but listening to Pinkerton by Weezer in its entirety three times wasn't one of those things, I think. It never resonated that much with me until recently, I guess I'm in the right frame of mind for it.
Got back into Lake Street Dive after a bit of a hiatus: And this track shows up about once every few weeks on my favorite radio station. It's really nice, because that's about as often as it could get with me still thinking, "Hey, I love this song!" every time it plays.
Connan Mockasin - I'm the Man, that Will Find You. From Caramel (2013, Mexican Summer)
Just found out this band (Supergroove) is going to be touring with Dave Dobbyn, Don McGlashan and Anika Moa. Sounds like a great show.
I recently found this instrumental group Neat Beats. Its kinda hard to describe their genre. Recommendation on this song: listen with ear buds and close your eyes My favorite so far is
I've been spending a lot of time listening to Typhoon, an indie rock ban from Oregon. They have really compelling lyrics and a great sound that includes a few string instruments and some brass as well. I saw them open for Portugal. The man last month and was very, very impressed.
I've also been really enjoying Shaky Graves, but I find that his live AudioTree recordings are way way better than his studio album, which is a bummer
Grace is Gone by Dave Matthews, I heard it on the radio last week for the first time, and I loved how soothing it was for such a sad sounding song. I don't think its sad, for me at least I just think its pleasant.
I've been listening to a bunch of slower music. Marc Cohn - Walking in Memphis Marc Cohn - The Things We've Handed Down Caught a Ghost - Nothing For You Here Bruce Springsteen - Jungleland
