I'd like to have time to really dive in to this instrument. I basically just played rhythm on it. I did loop it a bunch, which you can kind of hear. I used the loop percussively, jumping from forward to backward in time.
Fun. They're definitely fun.
Please add to this if any of you hear anything.
160 BPM. I think. Lyrics: I was born a human just like you Torn from the teat when I as two I shed my childhood I lost my teeth Fine motor skills when I was three Now I'm a grown man looking for my jewel I was born a human I was born for you i was born a human flesh and blood I'm no fool Know what I want went to catholic school and i survived lived in the back of my car pan handled for dimes bathed in the river drank from the dew I was born a human I was born for you I was bor a human right down the street ate with utensils shoes on my feet cared about my neighbors cared about the times tip toe'd around fences colored in the lines i was born a human but not anymore..... Now I'm love
Ha. Dont sell yourself short camarillobrillo, you're a tremendous slouch.
Nice to make your acquaintance mbalex. Yeah, mandolins are a lot of fun. Do you play? Cheers!
Mhmm, Mandola is tuned like a cello (or, more accurately, viola), and is a fifth lower than violin. Same tuning scheme though - both are tuned to fifths. FUN FACT: There used to be a ton of all-mandolin orchestras way back when (I think the turn of the 20th century/end of the 19th?), and there are some rare mandolin-like instruments floating around as a byproduct. Same thing with banjos.
Mandolins = violins Mandolas = violas Mandocellos = Violoncellos MandoBASS = Double bass have a listen to this cute tune i just found!
Don't listen to these guys thenewgreen, play it loud, proud, and out of tune. #folkpunk
