Automata Domine - Oblivion Can Wait
Umbra et Imago - Radiosong. More music videos need hand puppets.
I'm not a big fan of hey qt, but I'm pretty interested in the popularity this genre has gained in what seems like a very short amount of time. Some people are getting pretty analytic about it.
I have fallen in love with this old classic lately.
When I was a young boy I wanted to sail around the world That's the life for me, living on the sea Spirit of a sailor, circumnavigates the globe The lust of a pioneer, will acknowledge No frontier I remember you by, thunderclap in the sky Lightning flash, tempers flare, 'round the horn if you dare I just spent six months in a leaky boat Lucky just to keep afloat
Aotearoa, rugged individual Glisten like a pearl At the bottom of the world The tyranny of distance Didn't stop the cavalier So why should it stop me I'll conquer and stay free Ah c'mon all you lads Let's forget and forgive There's a world to explore Tales to tell back on shore I just spent six months in a leaky boat Six months in a leaky boat
Ship-wrecked love can be cruel Don't be fooled by her kind There's a wind in my sails Will protect and prevail I just spent six months in a leaky boat Nothing to it leaky boat.Six Months in a Leaky Boat
Great Equator by Zammuto from the album Anchor (Temporary Residence, 2014)
& Video Girl by FKA Twigs from the album LP1 (Young Turks, 2014)
Zammuto puts out some incredible stuff, I'm glad you shared this because I haven't listened to this album yet. Going to give it a spin tomorrow probably.
It's a good album and a bigger departure from The Books sound than was his previous outing.
I've been revisiting some albums that I used to love, happen to be great for studying imo. In other news, I reaaally don't like Joy Division and I don't get why all my hipster friends are forcing themselves to enjoy it. e - your umbra et imago post has me laughing on the floor at the moment
Watch The Kings of Summer. '17' was one of the few tracks from its fantastic soundtrack. It'll change your perspective and you'll get one of my favorite films in your index out of it.
Why do you think they're forcing themselves to enjoy it?
"GUYS LISTEN TO JOY DIVISION OMG I JUST BOUGHT A TANK TOP" "Uh, hey this is a pretty interesting album. Did this band really catch your attention that much though?" "I. OWN. THE TANKTOP." "Okay wow why is that so valuable to you-" "ITS EXCLUSIVE ON URBANOUTFITTERS EVERYONE'S TALKING ABOUT IT YOURE SO LAME YOU DONT UNDERSTAND OKAY" "I- okay. I get it now. Enjoy your tanktop. <sigh>."
My father in law is in town. He's a big classic rock fan. Been rocking out to some Zeppelin, in fact "Dancing Days" is on in the background right now. Nothing wrong with that!
Portico Quartet - Isla Their music is hypnotic, touching on meditative.
I've recently discovered a band called LANY and they're pretty good.
