For all of my friends in the Great White North... or for anyone else looking for an adventure... free is a great price.
What a fantastic opportunity. National parks are truly a treasure that I hope everyone gets the chance to enjoy. There's nothing quite so serene, calming or peaceful as a hike through a beautiful forest, with the muted sounds of trees and leaves whistling in the wind, or the view from the top of a mountain peak after a difficult, but satisfying, trek. For any Canadians out there, or those who'll be visiting, do yourself a favour and visit at least one this year.
wait... sp00ns - you're from Canada also, correct? coffeesp00ns
I am - definitely going to Algonquin next year (even though it's not National, it's Provincial). coincidentally, it's the 100th anniversary of Tom Thomson's mysterious death in that park. I'm kind of sort of thinking of doing a piece of music with my friend based around the Group of Seven - she would be doing a narrative part, i think. It's all a little but up in the air at the moment.
Definitely going to take advantage of that sometime...where in BC to go, though!? So many options.
