This song was inspired by a comment thread from a francopoli post, in which francopoli, kleinbl00, goobster, rd95 and others commence debate.
I read the comments earlier today and when I recorded music tonight the lyrics that flew out of me were influenced by the thread. That and the memory of this horrific asshole that I had summer-school with. Racist fuck that would burn his dog with cigarettes. So awful. I imagine he's dead, in prison or living in appalacia somewhere:
I couldn't for the life of me get this to bounce without those audio snaps and pops.
rezzeJ, coffeesp00ns, flac, @anyone else that would like to add to this, feel free. If you are so inspired, I'll try and bounce it without the pops.
Thanks for the inspiration Hubski
BPM 128 (i think). Key of "E"
Counting the people that I am better than
They all mock me with their blue pens
Pull all of my cigarettes from the memories of them
All of the coal faced boys lie dead on the tracks
Keep their canvass suits as a backdrop for Pence
You had summer class with me
You used to burn your dog and you'd laugh as he'd bleed
Man I bet your dead now
Man I bet you're living in a red state
You had summer class with me
You used to throw rocks at the black kids and laugh as they'd bleed
Man you were mean
It's okay to admit I'm better than them
Those that would burn a man, I am better than them
Those that would skin their dog, I am better than them
It's okay to admit that we're better than them
You had summer class with me
You used to burn your dog and you'd laugh as he'd bleed
Man I bet you're dead now
Man I bet you're living in a red state
