That's one of the parks within Yellowstone. It was amazing, really, how scenic it is and how astonishingly huge Yellowstone is. The people you meet are something else entirely.
Thanks for sharing your trip report, that was great! Off subject here but you mentioned the Mt. Rushmore area being too polished and man do I dislike that. I went on a weekend trip to New Mexico recently to hike through some Native American ruins and went to three different parks (for lack of a better word). One run by the local Native American tribe, state, and federal government. Respectively each one became more and more polished or safe, however you want to put it. It takes so much away from the experience of being there. I wish there were a better way for them to do things but for conservation and liability sake I can understand. I'll end my babbling there.
