As part of learning French (nowhere near fluent), I try to think in it for a set period of time. When I'm running, my mind wanders, and I find it useful to try to translate whatever strange thought I have.
For a great podcast I recommend Hello Internet
I think it isn't communication as a whole, but more specifically the ability to ask questions. IIRC no primate has ever asked a question, they've only answered ours. That might raise our aggressive curiosity in itself as a distinguishing feature. Humans spend their entire lives in the pursuit of knowledge. Do animals?
I would have to say Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. Although, the reason is pretty personal; I was going through some depression at the time. Her writing is beautiful, and some of the concepts changed how I think and approach my life in general. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
If there truly is nothing left, then you get to create yourself with no pretenses. It's actually kind of beautiful; who hasn't wished, at some point, that they could start over and become something different?
>you hate someone in particular? /r/whoreddithatesnow cough Chad cough
Latin's an awesome language; I'm taking it too!
a notebook business to start
That sounds interesting, could you elaborate?
I'm a reddit migrant who loves writing, reading, and just language(s) in general. My username is actually a joke misspelling of "Latin" I use with my one other Latin nerd friend. I also play guitar, and write, voice, edit, etc. a podcast. That's about all.
Podcasters unite! I released the first episode of my first podcast ever on Monday. It was pretty nerve wracking, and I can't imagine doing 239 episodes. I'll check yours out. Edit: lettersfromn.com; still finalizing the website
