Now let's make Scrabble players have a game using only words they generate from this site

circuit  ·  31 days ago  ·  link  ·    ·  parent  ·  post: Leaked phone number of Mark Zuckerberg reveals he is on Signal

"The news comes at a time when many users outraged with Facebook-owned WhatsApp’s new privacy policy are moving to seemingly safer alternatives like Signal. WhatsApp’s contentious new terms of service are slated to come into effect from May 2021. The updated privacy policy changes how Facebook can access users’ chats with business accounts."

Haven't heard of WhatsApp in years and thought it was a free voip meme, so the shock to me is the statement people were fine with it for business use until now

There's so much about this topic that has made me into a crazy conspiracy person. Being worried about not enough jobs while everyone is expected to work bad schedules. Cashiers and call centers not being automated yet while immigrants etc. get all of the hate for the overemphasis of "upselling" of large businesses. I personally feel like unions are painfully inefficient, but FAANG companies etc. have bought out such an overwhelming amount of their competition there's no other option to deal with monopolistic-like practices that have taken all over. Seeing students working until 5am (in untipped positions) for ultra-spoiled people to celebrate a wedding and say they used to do the "same" job and it was easy (while they get carried by people who actually care doing everything). I'll probably check out that book

I always see the news willing to blame bad stuff on poor people, so it's more about who never gets blamed

I mean I'm not dismissing everything, but he lists being a guest on the Glenn Beck show as his main achievement of following his 8-step daily routine for a healthy brain

This happened to me a couple days ago (or maybe yesterday).

Clicking comments on profile pages goes to /user/globalcomments which I think is error page

Clicking comments while reading a post such as this goes to /pub/globalcomments which I think is blank page

Clicking comments while reading the global feed takes you to /global/globalcomments (which I think is the same as the global post feed instead of comments)

Clicking comments from hubski.com/ takes you to hubski.com/globalcomments which seems to be working right

I'm not really using any site right now, do you think I should wait for the "beta" to end before it'll be worth giving a serious try? Or does it just mean they're ironing out the last of bugs?

"What's keeping us from using them?"

If you're "trained" to do something a better way, you'll take it for granted. Once whoever trained you is gone, you'll wonder why the next wave of new employees are relative deadweight even though you "figured out everything on your own." Once you have more than one weak link you'd have been better off doing things the mindless foolproof way, even if it means everyone has to work twice as hard to accomplish half as much. How much foresight are you using? It's going to be chaos after that

Even with all the weird VR controllers that have come out, I don't think there's anything that can replace its customizable trackpads yet
