to see the resultsHello all - Just born here on Hubski. My word is soliloquy.
There it is! The inevitable lake Titicaca submission. Truly, an awesome word to say. So much fun. The kid in me snickers when adults say it.
Someone seriously seems to savor certain sounds.
I'm surrounded by foreigners and Koreans so my words shan't be English. My favorite German words: Mensch. Fantastisch. Kölsch. 감사합니다 - gamsahamnida [Thank you] 치맥 - jimek [Chi(cken) and Maek(ju)]. 치맥 is a compound word for chicken 치킨 (Chikin) and 맥주 (maekju-beer). Chicken and Beer is a kind of restaurant that serves, you guessed it. It's fucking awesome. Whenever anyone says "Wanna get some Chimaek" my mouth waters at the unbelievable spreads of different flavors of fried chicken and cheap Korean beer. This here word means happiness.
Totally unrelated, but I think Baby Scripts has some explaining to do Re their logo :) mk I don’t recall if we were savvy enough back in the day to protect the logo? http://getbabyscripts.com Sheesh!
You know, I’ve never listened to that song all the way through. I feel like as a Michigander, I’m supposed to love it. Maybe tonight‘s the night I break that streak.
I'm a big fan of our Maori words - some are just so delightful to get out. Aotearoa - the Maori word for the land known as New Zealand, translates to "The Land of the Long White Cloud". I'd be happy if we changed our country name to that, if only so we aren't so far down the line in the Olympic procession. Turangawaewae - a place where you feel connected Te Toiroa Tahuriorangi - not a word but the name of a rugby player in New Zealand. Just absolutely fantastic to say and also to hear the commentators wrap their heads around it. Also, Refugee's suggestion, Ameliorate is one of my faves. Cathartic. Incandescent. Edit: I thought of another - Whakatane. A town in the North Island - phonetically it's "Fuck-ah-tah-ney".
Basingstoke It's a really boring town near enough to London for commuters. But Oh what a glorious name.
pumpkin schedule 韓国語 (kankokugo) - "korean language" in japanese EDIT: they call me quick-draw Q - got it in just as the clock struck 9
