In honor of the trailer for Ghost in the Shell featuring a soulless cover of "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode, I've been listening to a great electro-industrial tribute album I found awhile ago.
That's led to me wandering through some older industrial of my high school and early college days. Assume these all to be wildly NSFW, and should be listened to as loud as possible.
16 Volt was one of the openers the first time I saw KMFDM. The sound went out for the lead singer, who gave zero fucks and just started screaming the lyrics at us.
This was my "drive too fast" album.
I met my first real girlfriend at a show where MSI was opening for System of a Down. Small club in Columbus, Ohio in early 2001.
