Karen Dalton - In My Own Time. First song is impossibly good. I would kill for a voice this expressive. Also, that old analog sound just blows my mind.
Thanks for that, such a great voice. I like the songs too. I've never listened to her before and it's a testament to her music that I wasn't sure when it had been released.
Love the microphones, I like Mt Eerie quite a bit too, but just not as much as the OG stuff. You should also check out Okay if you're on the lo-fi jam. A little more poppy, still haphazard and lovely.
Yeah, my pleasure, that record is fantastic. The singer was in this band Dilute, which is more rock-ish, but still good. Small shoutout for a good friend of mine as well: sings is great, I've played a few shows with him in the past, he doesn't get the play (I think) he deserves.
The Hotelier - Your Deep Rest has been on repeat this week. Go listen to the entire album because it's great. The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Simple and Sure. This one is very new, and I'm excited by their new album. Great, "twee" indie rock.
Sadistik, specifically the album Flowers of Our Fathers -- -- but really everything Fake Four does, their lineup is incredible. From Bleubird to Busdriver to Ceschi to Astro. EDIT: I immediately messaged ButterflyEffect this song when I first heard it at like 2am last night:

Elephant Revival. Just saw them last Thursday and they were superb. Check out this short clip of them playing Rogue River.
