Each week will have a different theme around a single word. Post your photos in the comments. You don't need to be a pro to participate. Please feel free to "stick" this post if you'd like to participate or follow along. ANYONE CAN PARTICIPATE
How come "nature" was never a theme before? Okay, i'll admit it might be a bit uninspired but now is your chance to post a great nature pic that never quite fit in the other themes ;) I'm sure you guys have plenty as I see we are an adventurous bunch.

I climbed "The Chief" the other day. What a view. I've lived near it for over five years and have only been up this one time (need to do that more). Just over the edge past my foot there is a straight drop 2,100 feet down. It's a popular paragliding launch. There are no rails or guards or anything. You can lay on your stomach and peak your head over for a real good time. Throw in having wobbly legs from hiking 600 vertical meters in an hour and you'll feel more alive than ever. The Stawamus Chief is the worlds second largest granite monolith, near Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.
So it's been really hot here in LA lately. As in, "let's have fires like it's the motherfucking summer" hot.
These were taken this morning - not by me but by my coworker who lives closer to the fire. The darker side of nature.
Even though I live much further west by the beach, the clouds were crazy this morning. They were all red/orange/pink and when the sun shined (shone?) through them, it created this really eerie, post-apocalyptic vibe.
Obviously, my coworker is a better photographer.
I think it's pretty interesting that a seemingly good percentage of hubskiers have either been to Guatemala or Peru.
Lake Atitlan is something else - here's one from from Panajachel. Did you visit any of the other towns around it? I only had time to spend a day there, unfortunately. Double dipping this week.
Yeah we were in San Lucas Toliman (that's Lake Atitlan in my photo), Totonicapan, Chimaltinango, and Antingua for a night. A few of our group went to Panajachel but I had to stay back in San Lucas to keep working on the documentaries we were there for.
It's in places like that that I wish I had this darkened lens that's used for super long exposures during the day. Make the waterfall all flow-y.
But on the other hand, the waterfall looks really alive and fast shot like this as opposed to peaceful on long exposure. I like how you framed the shot.
