You should check out a Youtube Channel called "Mahogany Sessions." It is full of folk music, country, blues, and stuff that really fuzzes the lines. You'll probably find a ton of artists to enjoy on there.
For what it's worth, it's rare for me to recognize more than a few. There are no undergrounds anymore, maybe, but we all have our bubbles. Half the fun of this thread is hearing what it sounds like in everyone else's.
Kyle Craft's "Dolls of Highland" is on Youtube thanks to Sub Pop Records and I've listened to it about five or six times in the past two weeks. I absolutely love it and I'm definitely picking it up the next time I'm at the record store.
This single by Sylvan Esso has been playing constantly on one of the radio stations here in town and I turn up the volume every time it comes on. It's a fun song to listen to in the car.
Dan Mangan. Not much to say. I love his sound. I love his lyrics. He's got a lot of talent.
