I haven't heard much new this week. Been listening to a lot of Cranes, Cocteau Twins, and 90s swirlygoth albums thatstuffwasgreatfiteme.
The Fugees first album: Blunted On Reality. Recorded in 1992, 2 years prior to release, as The Tranzlator Crew.
Because these are the last seven days of the year, as per tradition the Top 2000 is permanently on. It's the list that got me into classic rock, the list that fuels heated arguments about music, the list that nobody agrees upon but everyone nevertheless listens to. Half of it is nostalgia/dad music and the other half is pop but I like listening to it anyway.
Stayed up with family listening to classic rock last night. Lots of zeppelin, sabbath, Hendrix and some newer classics like nirvana. Talks of "who is the best bass player," etc.
Bunch of old rock and psych rock. Spencer Davis, Cream, Traffic. Deep Feeling.
