I think if you ever have anyone offer you candied ginger, you might want to politely turn them down. It's an even more unique mix of sweet and sharp and a bit spicy.

I think (more exactly hope) this debate is a bit quieter. The last one was kind of hard to keep track of at times, so much wad said.

I eat candied ginger by the pound.

Jalapeños are gross.

This debate is bullshit.

    This debate is bullshit.

This one is in some way more terrifying the last one. Prence is a grownup, and he obviously knows he's bullshitting, but he bullshits like a professional. You can keep telling yourself that Donald Trump is obviously full of shit and surely most of the audience smells it, but this guy can speak bullshit as if it was the most reasonable thing in the world.

And he looks like Race Bannon.

(and now you have the song in your head)

Pickled jalapenos on a slice of cheese is godly.

I like this host better, she's a bad bitch and takes control.

jalapenos are poser peppers. They must be rendered to chipotle to be worth eating.

Anchos, serranos or hatch. All else is pretense.

Jalapeños are pretty nice if you want some heat without interrupting any flavors.

What are those flat, red peppers that's found in Chinese food that's sweet and hot? Those things are amazing.

kleinbl00  ·  2753 days ago  ·  link  ·

Chile pequin.

My beef with jalapenos is their primary flavor is "spoiled vinegar." I grew up around hot food all my life; heat without flavor is bullshit.

mmm vinegar. You put the jalapeno on a really flavourful cheese so that's where a lot of the flavour comes from.

It absolutely does not ruin the cheese.

We're over here watching this thing and my buddy is eating triple creme on tortilla chips with salsa.

Yeah not so much, me.

I stopped watching and switched to trying out different podcasts.

He's doing everything wrong.

I love sauerkraut and rueben sandwiches. I like dipping my french fries in malt vinegar. My favorite pulled pork dish is a vinegar based recipe my old boss used to make.

You must think I'm a culinary monster.

Edit: I forgot red cabbage, vinegar coleslaw. That stuff is heavenly.

Vinegar fries and vinegar-based barbecue are the best. It occurs to me that I have a very state fair sense of what constitutes good food, and I'm going to back out of this conversation immediately after entering it.

You deep fry everything and sprinkle confectioners sugar on it?

user-inactivated  ·  2753 days ago  ·  link  ·

I deep fry more than I probably should.

1) Reubens are great.

2) French fries are much better in mayo...

3)...well yeah I think our palates aren't exactly aligned.

She is doing a good job keeping them on track.

Jalapeños, cheese, and crackers is a favorite snack of mine.
