It used to be when I clicked a title in the feed, it would open the article, but also open the posting with comments or the poster's introduction in another window. Now it only opens the article. If I want to see the discussion, I have to go back to the feed and find it.
Am I hallucinating?
Hey everyone that missed it, galen insomniasexx ButterflyEffect Quatrarius coffeesp00ns, I have restored that functionality. People can now toggle it off in their settings if they like.
If we're sharing our opinions now, I thought it was horseshit. The pop-up never worked for me, and sometimes the article would not open. It isn't happening now.
I'm not sure if we changed it or not recently. I loved this feature as well. But, there were a lot of people who didn't. Like people who first came to hubski were all 'omg wtf why do the links do that. Rawwwrrr' I do know that there was a setting for it where you could it turn it off. My setting is set to "new tabs yes" though so I assume it just means that when I click a link it opens it in the new tab. Maybe there could be an additional setting for "go to discussion when you click a link". This means, when used in conjunction with new tabs, we could have the behavior we want. (Maybe? Or does that imply that it just opens the discussion for the link in a new tab?) Those who want standard behavior or only want new tabs can still have that as well. The default could be whatever.
Hi insom -- before writing that post, I went to the settings and played around for a while to see if a setting had been changed.Maybe there could be an additional setting for "go to discussion when you click a link".
Yes something like that -- or clicking title will open both discussion and link.
