- there is nothing wrong with being like a girl
- what are "most girls" even like?
- don't perpetuate stereotypes by defining yourself as "not that stereotype" and also, by lumping all or most others of your gender as DEFINITELY in that stereotype
- sure sometimes I do say "i'm not like most girls" and yeah usually it is while i'm trying to be coy and flirt. it's a stupid thing to say. i try not to. i recognize what the phrase does although i still catch myself using it. all i can do is try not to use it so much.
What I think is interesting is that a male is much more likely to say "I'm not like most people" than he is to say "I'm not like most guys." I don't think the opposite is true of women. I think men are able to consider themselves the dominant species on the planet, while women tend to think of themselves as women.
God that article's formatting is terrible. I get it, you want it to look like a book. But it took me a few seconds to understand how to read it. It's a browser, you can scroll down infinitely, you don't need to break everything into two column snippets. Edit: I felt bad about being distracted by the format and ranting before I finished reading. It was a good article. I liked it. I am like most guys sadly, I parade around in my boxers cooking grilled cheese while I'm home (usually) alone.
I didn't get a scanned in vibe at all. But that may be because I've spent days fixing scanners so I don't want anything to look like it's scanned.
