Our day has started with a team meeting at the Detroit Institute of the Arts
Below is the Hubski team, minus forwardslash (wish you were here pal). We will post photos throughout the day and night as we progressively have more fun and get sloppier :)
Can't wait to see you guys: theadvancedapes, lil, ecib, bgood79, kevinstep and anyone else in the neighborhood. See you at Mercury Bar in Detroit at 8pm!
Casino!! We each put $20 on red and won! Double up! Then mk put $1 on a penny slot so I could pull the handle and ended up with $37!!
We're working on it. I feel the Australia import. It's worth noting foreign users as we look into best ways to get hubski merch to as many people as possible. Maybe I'll just use this as an excuse to make another trip to Australia. Hubski hand deliveries by insom. :P
I would be all about that, but it's a much more difficult place to drive to (from here).
It was really fun! meeting you ecib! We arrived alive in Toronto around 4:30 a.m. theadvancedapes is the go-to guy if you ever need someone to drive a getaway car all night at 80 or 90 mph. He did an amazing job, even with me going "slow down" all the time. We should have switched the speedometer to miles because 130 km/hr is much scarier than 80 mph. Anyway, the Prius held up. Next time we'll drink more and sleep over. The veils of anonymity lift. Now you all know I'm not a rapper named L'l lil. Talk to you soon thenewgreen and mk and insomniasexx and b_b and all.
Sooner or later I will convince thenewgreen to make the trek to the Great White North. It's only fair, I think. Plus, I haven't been to Toronto in ages, and I would like an excuse to visit again.
It was so great to meet you lil! Amazing time and hopefully we can hang out again in the future. I'm always down to fly to new cities and explore new places.
I hope so too. Maybe b_b will get thenewgreen to Toronto -- but I suspect that theadvancedapes will be moving to BRUSSELS, Belgium so I'll be the only Canuck within a four-hour drive from Detroit. I might be in New York sometime before the end of the year and I definitely want to grab a beer with you.
Then perhaps the solution is that we all go to Brussels to pay our favorite ape a visit! -If only it were that easy, right?
That was at the Detroit Institute of Art in their courtyard. It was a blast, great food, some wine and lot's of Hubski talk.
That looks like some comfortable furniture, if the guy sleeping in the back is any indication. These meetups always look like a lot of fun.
It was nice. It's an awesome little place in the courtyard of the Detroit Institute of Art. Great place for a meeting. The gatherings are always a good time. It's a shame more people can't make it. Proximity is a problem, obviously, but all the regular Hubski contributors are there in spirit.
