I hope so. He has nothing to lose.

You picked three very different albums, I think that makes you a "well rounded" consumer of music. Whatever happened to Tool? Lateralus is a great album.

I've never made a meme before. Here is my first: http://memegenerator.net/instance/19685849

Not sure if it makes sense or not but there seems to be a method: bizarre, dark but slightly funny. Is this art? Definitely not imo.

In that case, "yes" I do think it's happening. But... I love receiving e-cards from my mother too.

Very funny. Hope you don't mind but I'm posting it.

Seems to me newgameplus is fascinated by the life cycle of a "meme", which also fascinates me.

It's obvious that a meme can't exist in a vacuum, it needs replication to survive. This is similar to some of the street art, as newgameplus points out. Because of this, I do see a parallel between some street art a and internet memes. Both are just extensions of marketing, which imo has become the most finely tuned art form in the world. Marketing is where the most talented artists get pulled and we are left with a bunch of lazy, less ambitious "artists" creating memes and other nonsense. There was a time when an artist worked for years to hone his craft. This "time" still exists, it just migrated to Madison ave.

Are you afraid that people are going to use photo's as a way to avoid more personal and direct communication? For example, instead of sending your mother a birthday card, you might send her a picture of a birthday card? Or even worse, you might send her a picture instead of calling?

[edit] or are you not afraid at all but are embracing this?

You're right, it's definitely become cliche to hate on Comic Sans. That said, using it for your default font is the equivalent of wearing an ugly christmas sweater year round.
