I'm with steve on this one. "Magical" for sure. When I went to the university of Montana the slogan for the state was "Montana, the last best place and the last best people".

Valid question. Raw nature, some of the best mountains in the US, Glacier National Park, the Blackfoot River, great skiing, big expansive skies... I could go on.

all of those things, and in addition, I found that despite the unibomber jokes, the people there are very warm, helpful, and kind. Sure, there are dickheads everywhere - but on balance, the people were great.
