Just to expand on this a little bit... what chance would I have to be racist when there is literally no opportunity to be? In the deep south cultures tend to clash more and perhaps that is causing a bit of this racial tension?

It's best to slowly feed into index funds. They average better or same returns as mutual funds but don't have high percentage fees! The market is unusually high right now for the amount of risk out there (greece and ukraine/russia) so you might take it easy for a bit.

I am a white male who lives in the deep country of the USA. I wonder if the higher rates associated with my demographic is because our local citizens are relatively homogenous? All I have around me for ethnicities are Germans and MAYBE a few swedish... but we don't like the sweds :-)

If they flew the actual confederate flag for heritage, I actually wouldn't mind it at all. The fact that they purposely fly a battle flag that wasn't even used in SC is what gets me. But we must also look at the issue of free speech... if the majority voted the flag on top of a confederate statue...well then we are looking at a case of the tyranny of the majority, it happens all the time in a voting society. May I say though that #wewillshootback is the most backwards way to combat this violence? Didn't MLK teach us anything?

I agree with this...but if we establish the fact that we would need to stay there a LONG time, should the US just say "fuck it" and let the bloodbath continue? I'm not even sure there is a right answer.

Keep with it, python is an INSANELY useful language. I use it in many major, high profile jobs and no one questions the use of python.

I was in the exact location in which they are building bases in 2007 and 2009. What an unfettered hell hole that place is. No wonder it bred extremism after we knocked off their dictator.

Good points on the sourcing. I grew up on a dairy farm where I sourced much of my own meat. I have no qualms with eating meat and it is the main component of my diet, but I also know what it took for me to eat it. I feel that a lot of "city folk" who are so abstracted from their food would be appalled at what it takes to allow them to eat a steak.
