I just don't have heroes anymore. I assume everyone successful has abused their position of power somehow.
Idk Elizabeth Warren is a personal hero of mine and as founder of the CFPB I really believe her ethos is on the side of the consumer/average american -- it would shock me if she was found to have abused that trust -- but I do also agree, all humans have flaws. Maybe she has. But to this kind of magnitude? -- I just cannot believe it, ever ---
I met her e few weeks ago. She was extremely kind and seemed very genuine. I think I’m a pretty good judge of character. She’s the real deal. Still, I don’t think she stands a chance against Trump, but I like her.
it's okay to have heroes, or people you respect. You just have to remember that all humans are flawed, and that putting them on a pedestal is a good way to get yourself disappointed.
