- “Because we have such a broad and vague definition of evangelical, one person could automatically assume every evangelical is a Trump supporter, while another could think they’re anti-Trump, because that exists as well,” Tchividjian said. “We’re looking at faith through a political lens, and that’s unfortunate and dangerous.”
“Evangelical” is not, as some might think, a Christian denomination. It’s a rather elastic term that can include Mormons, Catholics, Protestants, any racial demographic, and both the left and right of the political spectrum. But it’s often attributed to only white Republican religious zealots.
I'd avoid putting comments along the lines of "the first sentence from the Wikipedia article" in the future. Apart from the fact it doesn't add to stuff that's already in the thing you post, believe me when I say that everyone here can use a search engine. If I wouldn't know what's muon or echolocation, then I'd be googling those before you'd hit the '+discuss' button. Offer an opinion on stuff. Join in on discussions. Allow yourself to say more than what's basically "why won't anyone think of the children!" or "Webster's dictionary defines X as…" The first is assumed, second can be checked in a matter of seconds by anyone. :P
Nah, none of that caught my eye, it's merely that you appear to be Sprocket's accomplice in not-crime via you guys' nearly identical Hubski activities. Two sides of the same coin, to be slightly more explicit. Which is not a crime (as I hinted). Just curious :). This is probably one of the worst ways I've attempted to say "hi" that I've ever committed to. Sorry! Edit: hi!
This is actually a re-post from one of Mark's/my earliest bits that he/I did on Digg! Classic.
Speaking of which, who can forget the mk-Ultra experiments? Another classic.
I'm still pretty sure it was just one guy. And there's something delightfully memey about meeting someone and saying, "Hi, I'm Sprocket and Ramble!". I feel kinda bad about this whole thing. I didn't intend to be confrontational, they had posted some decent articles and were making attempts to interact with us. The inevitable wave of new users following reddit's next (absolutely imminent) fuck up should be fun, though. Anyway, godspeed, Mark!Hubski: ̶W̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶l̶e̶a̶r̶n̶e̶d̶?̶ It's all just one guy.
I thought you'd think that! The Hubski community, however, knows that tacocat and I are two entirely separate people. We infiltrate each other's real identities for funsies, sometimes, and it forms a rather intricate network of pseudonymous personas vs. traceability. But I do enjoy your posts and comments, so I will suspend judgement. Cheers!
