Credit goes to ButterflyEffect and OftenBen. It really is a great idea. Should make me even more hyped for the new one
I've read people suggest that a great way to watch Star Wars would be episode 4, 5, then jump back to 2 and 3, the finish off with Return of the Jedi. That way, you have an awesome story that takes you from Luke to the reveal of Vader being his father, then jump to the back story of how Vader became Vader, and finally to the big resolve. (And you get to completely forget about episode 1, which is close to worthless.) I've never tried it, but I think it would make for a really dynamic viewing and a great way for the story of Luke/Anakin to unfold.
That makes total sense to me. Episode 1 is awful. 2 and 3 aren't so much better but at least they're less bubble-gum. I nerded out late last night and watched Collider Jedi Council's interpretation of the new trailer: I personally think that Chewy is going to die. Bummed. I think this is why Leia is distraught in Han's arms. How cool is it to see Rey scavenging in an old abandoned Star Destroyer? The entire thing is just completely bad ass. I'm beyond excited.
