We had roughly 500 or so people (not sure of final count) watch the bottoms of the clouds until dissipating at 2300EDT. At 2320EDT as if by magic, the sky went from 90% clouds to 20% clouds and we got to watch the last few moments of totality and then the egress from the umbra. I let at least 20-30 people take picts through the eyepiece with their phone cameras and I am happy to see some of our social media stuff pay off from that with lots of great pictures. The Iphone 5, as much as I do not like apple stuff, was the hands-down best for taking a moon image this way. The 6 seemed to fight the focus and turn everything fuzzy. And the Galaxy phones, when you got them just right they were amazing and clear, but the work to get them at that point was a struggle.
I've been on the run at full steam for five straight days now, it is 0200 EDT and I have to be at work at 0700. I leave you with bluegrass metal.
