Obviously these things are illegal, but I just want to know will the discussion of them be banned? I didn't see anything related to it in the FAQ.
I'm currently working on a Hubski podcast about drugs. I have pirated songs and I have had my songs pirated. These topics merit discussion. I think discussing these things is fine. I'm not concerned with discussing things that are illegal but I don't think any of us are interested in facilitating or participating in things that are illegal.
In which jurisdiction? Let's not forget that discussing some things can be illegal in its own right, and not just talking about in 'repressive regimes'.I'm not concerned with discussing things that are illegal but I don't think any of us are interested in facilitating or participating in things that are illegal.
Mmm, UK subject here so I'm a little bit more paranoid about the borderline between illegal activities and speaking about illegal activities. Also apologies for the double post earlier!
What thenewgreen said. I am fine with the discussion of illegal activity. Many critical topics require it. But we aren't looking to facilitate it. Hubski isn't well designed for that, anyway.
I'm sure you guys are taking this into account, but...
So about six or seven years ago, I was part of a website very similar to Hubski, except it was much trollier. To make a long story short, one member posted some very, very stupid stuff and the guy that ran and owned the website had a very uncomfortable encounter with the Secret Service. He couldn't go into great details about what was said, but needless to say he was displeased. As crazy as it sounds, these things happen, probably more often than we think. Just something to think about.
at least let us be able to afford some lawyers first. :)
Ha! Yes. Please.
We talked about one drug like this. We could also talk about drugs in general, the Pirate Bay's resilience and Silk Road's inevitability, or the Mt. Gox Heist, whatever you want. There's actually already discussions for all of those things. Just google "hubski mt. gox" for an example. Edit: Not that I mean you shouldn't start a new post about something, you get to do what you want here. It's nice.
