Sheryl Crow's version of "The First Cut is the Deepest", which I refuse to link to.
I'm also not a fan of the Rod Stewart version I don't have anything against Sheryl Crow or Rod Stewart, they just suck at covering this song. Side note: most of these bad covers seem more popular than the original on YouTube based on predictive search. By most I mean 'All I've searched for.'

Good call. I heard Rods version first and then, when I heard Tom Waits version I was floored. What a great song it actually is. I have similar feelings about the song Bird on a Wire -Leonard Cohens version is amazing but the cover by The Neville Brothers falls way short of the originals emotional depth. I mean way short.
