My favourite line so far:

Hush, you," Ref shot back. "They were asking for it, and even if they weren't right now, they were probably going to deserve it for something else later today."

A pre-emptive strike! Good one ref.

Haha, yeah. I meant to quote that in my response but forgot, so thanks for putting it out there :) I do enjoy it, and my personification in Hubski as a whole - so 8bit don't feel any way about that - but I'm also trying to be nicer in life in general. I've allowed myself to feel far too negative about things, like my job, which is really incredible and affords me SO MUCH more than other people in terms of freedom, etc - and I need to be positive.

As far as being too negative goes, you didn't happen to see 8bits contribution to pubski today? It was so forlorn, I almost cried and then couldn't write anything at all after reading it. If only I had a magic book with answers to everything.

Speaking as a card-carrying cranky fuck:

The act of venting is remarkably therapeutic. That, in many ways, is what pubs are for.

Yep, pubs are for the crappy days as well as the days worth celebrating. It's when you start heading to the pub on the "average" days when you might want to consider whether or not you have a "problem." That said, I can't help it if I happen to find something worth celebrating every day.
