Yeah, real chicken is the way to go. But like twice the price for half the bird! Can't justify that right now and still spend money on the drink. Priorities, man.

What'd you say about white people and boiled chicken breasts?

TBH, chx breast is my absolute least favorite protein, and that includes all vegetarian options. But it's what I can afford. That and ground turkey? Which my wife buys in bulk at Costco and it makes me want to just curl up into a ball and disappear forever. Is there a term for the opposite of comfort food?

That sounds like a possible challenge: cook something you don't normally like and make it good.

I did that recently. Brussels sprouts on the grill! Cooked then until they were charred on the outer leaves. They were incredible.

If I remember right, just some potatoes, asparagus, and thinly butterflied chicken breasts, all cooked on the grill. Sadly, I think grilling season is past for the next half year.
