I agree with the sentiment below, "where is this type of discussion today"? You may disagree vehemently with Buckley and his oozing arrogance, but at least he was willing to have a somewhat civil discussion/debate with someone that was considered his philosophical adversary. This makes me miss Hitchens, he was cut from this cloth.

Fear sucks. It drives so much of our lives and even our public policy. The human race needs to go through an awakening. I feel like we are stuck between being simple, fear influenced animals and something greater.
