During the day I do system administration (and a bit of consumer relations until we hire someone) for our electronic health records. I work for a nonprofit disability service. We don't really have customers but if I could tell the staff that send in tickets one thing it would probably be that waiting until 10 minutes before your shift ends to send in a ticket is not a good idea. At night, I'm an EMT. I really don't even know what I'd tell people about this job. I'd probably say that if we ask you if you are on any drugs it's best just to be honest so we can help. A lot of people seem to think we're police and will arrest them or something. Just let me know and we will continue on, but it's important to be honest with us.
Reading through that article, that is still a little cheaper than where I live in NJ. I was recently looking around for 1 bedroom apartments and I refuse to pay $1200 a month for it + all utilities. Pretty ridiculous, but I guess it's all relative. I think the organization I work for now has services in Colorado, but it's very hard to transfer since each state is it's own organization really. I remember looking at their career options online and they only had like 3 job openings. I'll be sending you a PM soon.
I work for a disability service right now (mental health and developmental disabilities) , I do system administration for our electronic health records. Help desk, implementation, etc. I work as an EMT at night. 2 jobs seems to be necessary to pay rent in NJ if you're single lol. Fortunately no oil and gas for me!
I don't go often either just because I'm not fond of the ocean here in NJ. I do like living here, I grew up here and I'm pretty fond of it.. But Colorado is so beautiful haha.
I'm from NJ and there are trees everywhere here so I see where you're coming from. There are just so many other positives to Colorado that losing the trees wouldn't be a huge deal for me personally.
I'd love to! If only I could find a job out there.
I'd like to move to Colorado. I lived there for a new months and was in love with it. Arizona is very nice as well but I don't enjoy the heat enough to live there.
Congrats! I like the update too, I think I'll be using that a lot to find users with similar interests to follow.
I don't think Digg will ever get back to how big it was, whether they bring back comments or not.
I'm with you on this. I find politics boring. I should probably know more about everything going on in this world, but I choose to dedicate my time to reading about space instead.
Slim Jims. They are so disgusting but taste so good. My stomach wouldn't be a fan though. If I was being healthy, I pick those toasted coconut chips. I keep them in my snack drawer at work.
I'm only 24, so sorry if I'm not the demographic you were looking for opinions from lol. It doesn't seem like you're too excited to have a future (married or unmarried) with your girlfriend as it is. Sometimes "work it out" isn't a good answer because some things cannot simply be worked out. I was with my ex for 4 years and we had an ok relationship but I think we stuck together because it was comfortable, not because were very happy. That couldn't be worked out. Sometimes you spend a few years with someone and then realize hey maybe we don't want the same things, maybe this isn't what we thought it would be in the beginning.. And that's totally ok. I personally don't think relationships are ever a waste of anything. Growing with someone, whether it ends in a happy marriage or not, is not a waste and you gain experiences because of these relationships. I don't think marriage will solve any issues you have now, and sticking to how you feel is not being selfish or unfair. Maybe this isn't the opinion you were looking for, but I think you have already kinda made up your mind.
While it's a little annoying to scroll through Facebook and see a bunch of these memes, it's very easy to ignore them. People seem to be mad about the most trivial things. They're harmless pictures with sayings on them. These have been around for so long before minions and they will continue to be posted after minions. If my 55 year old aunt gets a laugh out of a minion meme then so be it.
I don't care who anyone else marries, so long as they are entering that marriage on their own free will. With that said, I think the issue for me lies within the legal issues it could create. What would this mean for immigration? Can a man marry x amount of women to bring them into the country? What about divorce? What happens with custody of children (seems simple, biological mother and father but can you imagine) , assets, etc? What about benefits? Tax breaks? There would have to be a large change in the legal aspect of marriage.
I was prepared to be annoyed at that article. I'm happy to see Hubski got the review it deserves, the article seemed to have pretty accurately describe the whole point of the site. Reddit "clones" will not go far because everyone will just go back to Reddit. While there are opportunities for actual discussion there, the fact that you need an actual serious tag on your posts to assure it doesn't get shit on with jokes is pretty telling. I see Hubski growing a great deal in the near future.
Lol, this happened to me the other day too and I was entertained by this picture.
I haven't been on here too long, but I think you should just post whatever content feels interesting to you. Like was already said in the comments, people can always choose to filter you if they want to!
I love Pluto. It's pretty exciting!
My own personal goal: To cut some of this fat I've gained due to the excess calories from powerlifting. I'd love to maintain as much muscle and strength as possible but it's tricky to do. It's mostly because I feel really slow and not too good about myself. As far as my plan goes, I just plan to track my macros a bit closer and incorporate more cardio. Running is the devil so hiking and biking are going to be my go to forms of cardio.. Probably some swimming as well since the weather is getting nice. My work/professional goal: To have a successful service line build out & also to have my department fund itself. We serve a large population of adults with disabilities and we're transitioning into electronic health records. We're doing it service line by service line (residential, case management, DDD, etc) and we are currently on our last one now. It's been a long road! But successful so far. As far as department funding, since we are just starting up with electronic health records (April 2014 was when we implemented it), our department is still very small with only 4 people. We fall under IT's budget right now since it's hard to generate revenue just as electronic health records. We just became an affiliate with the vendor we use for our EHR, so we can subcontract our license to other associates that don't want to go through the implementation process themselves (it's very expensive and for smaller companies to shove out at least 80k for implementation is not ideal). They would pay us a much less amount for services and we would provide them with help desk support, create their forms, all of that. Eventually we hope to be able to pay for our department and get out of IT. Exciting stuff to come for me!
The gym or hiking. Both are relaxing activities for me. They're good ways to just clear my head, although I go hiking with a friend for safety reasons. If I could hike alone I would haha.
My parents moved here when they decided they wanted to buy a house. I just never left. It's close to my job and I just don't really see any reason to leave for the time being.
I still don't really feel like an adult. I'm 24, so maybe I'm too young to be answering this but I just feel the same as I did years ago, just with a job that has benefits, some extra bills, and a 403b. I don't see myself any different in the mirror at all. Maybe a little fatter lol.
I hope so. I also have the Hubski Reader app on my phone but I don't use it since I'd like the capability of posting. Maybe I'll try using just the mobile version of the website, but an app would come in handy.
Town of Salem is pretty fun! It's free to play on your browser, but there's also a Steam version for $5 I think. I don't think there are any advantages to buying it lol. It's fun to get to know all the characters and figure out how to play them well. Agar.io is addictive too. You really just float around trying to collect the balls, the more balls you collect the larger you become. The circles around you that are bigger than you can eat you. Edit: Added Agar
Death by Black Hole! I love it so far, I'm a sucker for anything about space.
I've never heard of the FitMiss preworkout, but hey if it works for you that's all that matters in the end! It's probably very similar to the other preworkouts on the market like you said, just with some different branding. I hear good things about the ON preworkout though, haven't tried it yet but I probably will once I finish this tub of GFuel. Here's a photo of the supplement facts provided on the tubs/packs in case you want to take a look before you go and buy anything. That is for the green apple flavor but the ingredients are the same with the exception of the flavoring/color. I'd recommend checking out some flavors by getting the 3 packs before you buy a tub of anything. There are a bunch of different flavors but I'm not a fan of them all and I'm stuck with a whole thing of blood orange flavor that I dislike, lol.
I generally feel like supplements advertised as "women's xxxx" are just a marketing ploy. Your supplements can be the same as the supplements men take, as long as you are taking them correctly. Just my opinion really, but I have been using the same preworkouts as my male counterparts for some time with no issues. I use preworkouts on and off since my tolerance builds fairly quickly. C4 was my old favorite but the beta alanine just got to be too much, it's very hard for me to focus on training when I'm itching constantly haha. It just tastes so good. Assault is pretty good with a nice flavor as well. There is a prewo called White Flood, it's a clean prewo with a decent flavor, but it's cheaper than both C4 and Assault. I'm currently using GFuel link here. It's not advertised as a preworkout really, I think they consider it more of an "energy drink". It tastes great, no added sugar, gives me the energy to get through my training and I never crash from it. Feels like clean energy to me. It seems to get me through the day. If it matters, I am into powerlifting and have been training for a few years.
I've been a member for a measly 2 days, but I'm enjoying myself so far. My first post (I've only made 2) was looking for some advice about what type of bike to buy.
For me it has to be either eyes or lips. I am a sucker for guys with light eyes.
