I've been getting into true crime podcasts recently, and this one called Jensen & Holes had an episode about the whole Carole Baskin thing. Predictably, Tiger King's presentation was pretty biased. I don't like Carole and I do think she possesses many of the same flaws as everyone else whom she criticizes -- but also, I think Carole was a victim. Her first husband was violent and Don was not only 23 years her senior but first coerced her to talk to him when she was 19 by driving around the block multiple times and essentially harassing her until she gave in. He was also a notorious womanizer who was never faithful to his first wife and certainly not his second. At any rate, it is generally pretty damn hard to hold a trial for murder when you can't find the body. so I think this is mostly lots of drama and some of fun for the spectators involved.
nah but I'll check it out. Crime Junkies is my main one right now at least for crime podcasts. I only very recently figured out how to enjoy podcasts at all. Besides Crime Junkie Wait Wait Don't Tell Me is great for both a laugh and lighthearted news. I listen to Stuff you should know somewhat frequently. Beyond that i'm still seeking for what i like best!
