So I've just recently made the delve into Go or Baduk as it is sometimes called. Was curious if any Hubskiers play? I've been playing on https://online-go.com under the tag "49Go". Fascinated with the game so far; it has such an in-depth strategy!
Are you familiar with the game? Want to play online? Share any tips?

Hello, everyone! I'm new to Hubski and pretty new to go as well. I'd love to connect and play some games. I just joined the OGS group under the same username that I use here. I particularly enjoy 9x9 games. Also, I'm too new to post links here yet, but David Nolen has a great blog chronicling his go journey.
I'm down! I'm only 12 kyu or so, but I'd also be willing to help teach anyone interested. https://online-go.com/player/440112/ Send me a challenge! :)
I played a lot of fast 9x9 games with friendly, consistent bots to get the hang of things. It was fun to see my rating slowly climb as I learned some of the tricks. Sensei's Library is a great resource.
I’d love to play you. Just joined the Hubski group. My handle is Holyemperorpenguin.
I made an OGS group for Hubski if anyone wants to join!
How tolerant are the players of clueless newbies? And is it set up for live play or several-moves-a-day games or both? I learned the rules but never learned any strategy. ---------------- Edit: signed up. Same username. Played 3 games against the weakest AI and lost horribly. Seems fun.
I've had really great matches so far and met some people who have been very helpful with learning strategy. It's set up for a vast variety of different game styles from multiday to 10min matches. I was completely clueless coming into the site. Learned a lot about it with the resources of the site too. A lot of puzzle and lessons. And it's free!
I've gotten into it a little, mainly on my iPad. I actually own a board, but could never really find people to play locally.
I'll have to refresh myself on the rules, but that sounds like fun!
