Makes me think of 50's jelllo abominations. Just because you were conditioned to accept something from a young age, that doesn't mean it's not objectively horrifying.

Shakespeare can probably survive an apocalypse orally. Knowledge of mayonnaise is not as intrinsically valuable as storytelling. Strike two against mayo.

I didn't even like it as a kid and eventually kinda made myself like it by accident around 18. I was never forced to eat it so maybe that's telling.

This article just caught my eye because of it's very specific food item that's going away. I don't know. I might start reading these things for a change to see if they're all sad reflections on aging.
