hi,
as a discussion board and commenting nature of the site, I was wondering how Hubski is able to regulate the commenting behavior and moderate what users are able to write and not allowed to write.
This is true. A while ago, there was a troll called Grendel or something like that and this person made awful comments. At first people kinda argued with him but after a while once they saw he wasn't learning, they stopped responding all together. Once that happened, Grendel's posts became less and less until he was no longer on the forums. Trolls need audiences. Without an audience, a troll is nothing. Trolls want attention but once no one gives it to them, they just move on to a place where they can get the attention they desire. Hubski is very good at not giving trolls the attention they seek.
Write whatever you choose, understand there wil be consequences - reactions - just as if we were people talking to other people, some we knew we maybe liked but many who seem total strangers, standing in a room together where anyone may freely go or enter and anyone can see the history of your conversation in the future, at any time. Write with thought. That's the thought.
