200! I wish I had something of higher integrity to report today. But... I cannot tell a lie. Today, I listened to the Bangles Greatest Hits. I thought Susanna Hoffs was SOO hot when I was a kid. --And I was right. She still is. This video was everywhere when it first came out: Thanks for keeping the weekly music thread going bfv. If I had a badge, I'd send it your way.
Hehe. 200th week. You go bfv. Shakey Graves is a one-man multi-instrumentalist band, typically rocking the guitar or banjo, a couple of foot pedals, a sidekick drum, and a tambourine. Practically all of his songs compel me to air guitar. Since I listen to most of my music these days in the car, I air pick my steering wheel. First-up on air guitaring duty rotates, but currently it's "If Not For You"
I've been a fan since 2012. I'm a little less OK with it, in a completely selfish way, in that shows are cheaper and further flung between. What are your favorite tunes of his?
Those are great choices. You didn't ask, but my favorites are Family and Genus and this rendition of Word of Mouth -- prime yodelling along.
Crying - Beyond the Fleeting Gales Female fronted chiptune emo meets Van Halen? The music is great but the front woman steals the show.
I've become re-addicted to the John Butler Trio lately.
DVP - by PUP A Canadian punk band that are fast paced and full of adrenaline. I've been currently listening to their new album The Dream is Over.
Giving all things Christopher Owens another shot but mostly Broken Dreams Club because I can't get out of my own mind right now and this album is me projecting.
