Yup, I am the spear tip of gentrification.

Do you feel like your place is pretentious / snobby at all? How does it fit within your neighborhood?

I actually LOL'd only because I know cgod personally. I don't think he could do pretentious or snobby if he tried. You won't meet many people as down to earth and enjoyable. If the shop is ANY extension of him, it's the kind of place anyone would feel welcome... except maybe pretentious snobs... :-)

It's a little rough and ragged like the neighborhood.

People might call it hipster? But they would call it that if it was smooth and shiny.

It's in no way pretentious but there is always someone who will take it that way.

His place definitely doesn't feel pretentious or snobby! (grain of salt: I've been there once)
