Do guys really dislike smart women? My dream is to be with someone sharper than me. The biggest nightmare of my life was going with a girl who couldn't keep it together mentally. I thought better, but loved her anyway. To say I was burned by this optimism would be an understatement.
My wife is brilliant. I like her a lot. She is strong willed and funny too. I love all of those qualities but what I love the most is when she's able to be vulnerable in front of me, mostly because I know it's a privilege to have such a strong person share that side of her with me. She's pretty rad.
So she burned you! So you were the fool! You do not seems so smart compare to her after all.. Just joking. As stated in the article, men consider a "smart" woman, a woman laughing at their jokes... In this sense, any man like a "smart" woman. A real smart woman is one that make jokes. Even unfunny ones. In this sense men are a bit turned off. Aren't you?
Haha yes I am obviously not that bright either :). I'm quite happy to be the un-smart one in the relationship. Isn't that ideal though? I find active women far more attractive than passive. Being funny (even unfunny) is part of that. I cherish it in my friends and my best relationships. It seems really strange that this isn't the case for everyone. Sometimes people talk about the patriarchy, which I am ostensibly part of, but I really have no idea what they are reacting to. People can get intimidated. Maybe I don't. It could ne that I have a habit of overestimating people.
