I'm sure it would, although I am not sure how I feel about another link up there. We are going to be adding yet another feed in the coming days, which will also be relegated to the bottom at first. I'd like to see how the community feels about this upcoming feed before shuffling any about.

This is probably way too complicated,

But would there be any way to have the links in the top bar be toggle-ables?

Example, I browse much more by feed and chatter than I do global or tags. If I had the option, I would get rid of those and put the random button up top.

That's kind of a UX rabbit hole, IMO. There's always going to be a better Hubski UI for any given user, but delivering those goods is likely to make it worse off for everyone. It's not impossible, but it is very difficult.

That might be true but I'm sure many of us would like to shuffle things about. If love it if I could default to "time."

That's a good point. And if you cede more control to a user, you also give them more power to mess things up.

The EMR system I use daily suffers from this kind of over-engineering.

Maybe a "more" button or something of the like up there with all of these ancillary feeds.

I really dislike hamburger menus, and want to avoid them if at all possible. I think it's an outlet that reduces the pressure that drives better design. Also, there's plenty of studies that show that people don't use them.
