What does Vivaldi have that Firefox doesn't? Like, what would I gain from it, since Firefox is opensource (I think)?
Too bad it's closed source, that's a dealbreaker for me. Also, fwiw backtoyoujim, it is the crashes that bother me with Chromium. I get them every day whenever I open a file dialog. Reporting this particular bug has only resulted in finger pointing between the chromium team and the gtk+ team; nobody wants to fix it. Oh well.
It is not the crashes ... it was the "we can eavesdrop on you because Terms of Service means amoral behavior is acceptable".
Never tried Vivaldi until I read this post. Trying it right now, and I like the set-up more than I like the way chrome has things set-up Except for the love of all that is holy on this earth could they please center the Vivaldi symbol in the top left corner...
Apparently the trick is to disable the security feature of checking extension signatures.
Disabling a security feature for an app that stores all your passwords. I'm sure this will go swimmingly.
Yes, the discussion was on the actual Agilebits website forum, too, a couple of months ago. I'm surprised an Agilebits developer didn't leap in and suggest: DON'T.
