I personally like to look at pictures of cute things and eat copious amounts of food.
Honestly? Being able to sit at home and do nothing. My weekday life is so busy and almost every weekend is jam packed, so when I am able to finally get some down time, I like to do nothing. I sit on my porch and look at my garden, or I'll take a drive and sit on the beach for a while. Riding too. Riding my bike is such a great stress reliever as well as very beneficial in so many ways to me that I try get on two wheels as often as I can. An hour or few of helmet time does wonders for me.
Having a quiet, safe private space of my own I can retreat to. Undisturbed, alone, self-sufficient. Where no one will knock on my door, no one will leave notes on my door, no one is trampling the floor above, I can go months without seeing anyone else. I am left alone. Oh, and getting deliciously stoned, trippy visuals, physically melting, letting go.
Diet soda, tea, relaxing in better, video games, reading, meditation, and yoga!
Mental exercise. Whether it be being immersed in a good game where I have to watch my ass, building immense structures or vehicles, or simply work on a tough 'problem' (which mostly involves logic and management grids in yet more games), I get exhilarated when my brain gets to work out (and I say work out literally - it's happened before that I thought myself into short-breathedness and exhaustion). But yeah - long story short, I get comfort by being distracted by everything and nothing, and feel even better when thinking about shit that doesn't matter (because things that matter, in my life, tend to be really fucking depressing/frustrating)
Last Friday I suddenly became really sick with a fever, sore throat, exhaustion, etc. Barely made it home from campus. When I did, I headed straight to my bed at 5 in the afternoon. It was comfy af. Music, a good movie, hot tea, a big blanket. These things make me happy, yup.
Gaming I suck at it but since I work from 1500-0100 typically I don't have much time for anything fun since I sleep from when I get home until lunch then I check up on next before showering and going back to work My days off are not frequent and I enjoy them mercilessly
I'm in the same situation, brother/sister (though I work from 1500 to 2330, and get home between 0010 and 0030). What games are you playing?
I love to get extremely cosy in a blanket nest on a bean bag and just read for hours on end in comfy clothes. It's really great. Reading in the bath also works (Kindle in a ziplock bag). Or, if I'm feeling more stressed or if it's a particularly nice day, I'll just go for a moderately-intensive bike ride to clear my head and work out my legs. Or, you know, browse Reddit and Hubski for hours on end and adding things to wish lists
I like to be alone. just laying on my bed with my phone and some music playing in the back-ground. I also love reading novels (hard cover) and eating. Funny enough, I still enjoy going to bars alone for a drink at weekends and end up having a bunch of hillarious chats with random strangers. haha
