Remember that one time Rodney Mullen messed up? Hahah, naw, I'm just kidding, that's never happened. Beautiful vidjya though, mk. Really cool to see street skating progress. I only made it as far as kickflips and pop shuvits, but I'm still known to yell at non-longbarders "SHORT BOARD FOR LIFE".
I remember watching it a few year ago. I like the music . Yesterday I considered posting an article about social interraction modeling, the Zipf law in computer generated social model and stuff.
The article was from 2004 so I choose not to.
Plus it was not so great an article to begin with, or the timestamps would not have been an issue. My point is... How can I filter youtube.com? I dont seems to find a way to ban it from my feed.
Weird story. I met a strange dude in a bar in LA a couple years ago; his name is Marc Johnson. He mentioned that he was a professional skater (in an offhand way, wasn't being douchey or braggy). My buddy I was with got super psyched, because he used to watch tons of Spike's skater videos when we were kids. So he went on this huge thing about how there's this one Spike Jonze where a skater explodes through a brick wall, and how it's the most amazing thing he's ever seen, and it's also one of the things that used to inspire him to make videos of his own, etc. Marc was like, "Yeah, I've seen that. Spike does really great work." After we left, we had to watch the video, and as it turns out, Marc is the dude busting through the wall. My buddy was pretty embarrassed about gushing like a teenage fanboy, but I'm sure it made both their nights. Everyone likes to be told that they're work has affected someone else positively, especially when the compliments are completely unsolicited and naive.
