dat horn section. I love this song, this performance, and (despite the flaws) this movie.
I received a badge for posting a track from the Last Waltz. Today was a good day. In college we used to go out to the bars and then when we would get home we would smoke and watch the Last Waltz. Literally, I probably watched it over 100 times in college. I still very much enjoy watching it to this day. scrimetime, when was the last time you watched The Last Waltz?
The Band is incredible. Fun story about Levon Helm: His band ended up playing in my city in the middle of nowhere, NY, for reasons I'll never understand...unfortunately I didn't care much about these guys when I was in high school but one of my Uncles did. Now, this Uncle didn't pay to see them. Somehow he ended up sneaking in during a break in the middle of the show, and actually met Levon himself, and got to catch half of their show for free. I should try and get my roommates to watch The Last Waltz.
Little bit louder... radio He looks like a little, purple, kicking leprechaun.I should try and get my roommates to watch The Last Waltz.
-Absolutely. If they start nodding off, just fast-forward to the Van Morrison track.
I don't think it was Levon vs. "the guys." Do you?
edit: if you are referring to Aint in it for my Health, it's a great documentary and i recommend it to anyone reading this. It was Robbie vs. the guys. Levon was one of the guys not fighting against them. The Band actually reunited without Robbie and played in the 80's/90's. Best performance from the last waltz is Danko's Stage Fright -Wow.
Yup, it was Ain't in it for my Health. It's been about a year and a half since I saw it, but from what I can remember, it was great. I also recommend. Oh, and thanks for the clarification. It still sucks about Robbie, but I gotta say I'm kinda glad it was Levon & the guys still together.
