Chrysalide - Question Everything
This was a good music week.
PSA: ghostoffuffle is making the hubski playlist a weekly thing. If you like this thread, you will probably like that one too.
Might've been wrong about King Krule. Listened to Six Feet Beneath the Moon on good speakers and it kind of blew my mind. The subtleties behind the more forthright instrumental aspects are what get me. Listen to this on some headphones: To be fair, it's the strongest song on the record. Bold move putting it as the first song. Gotta strike a balance between setting the tone and shooting your wad, you know? Also, thanks bfv for the shoutout. Also my favorite was that Chrysalide. Thick sound. Great texture.
Nujabes - Arurarian Dance, Counting Stars He and several artists (like Fat Jon) did the soundtrack for Samurai Champloo.
Really into Take me to Church still - just caught the spotify live version that's really nice too: http://open.spotify.com/track/6d0wEqM0jJTNv1asKflGGi Also on my active list: Fastball - The Way Enter Shikari - Stalemate Listened to the entire System of a Down - Hypnotize & Mezmerize albums back to back on the way home from camping. I haven't drunkly rocked out / sang along to BYOB and Cigaro and Violent Pornography and basically every song in too long. It was amazing.
I also spent too much time watching other people play Five Nights at Freddy's
Yesterday I took the kids to the zoo and on the way home my daughter asked me to play some "rock and roll." I put on David Bowie's Queen Bitch and we listened to that song at least 5 times in a row. She dug it and it's a favorite of mine: Then, last night I had an hour or so to make some music and recorded this....
Nouvelle Vague - Guns of Brixton Love that Chrysalide track
