You can hear the original version here. jonaswildman has added drums, synth, guitars etc. I love what he has done and I think there's some room for additional parts in the intro/outro and perhaps in the rest. Shouting out to ghostoffuffle, T-Dog, mrjasonetaylor, bgood79, ecib, rezzeJ. -Let me know if any of you would like a crack at it.

Because you listened to the original version, shouting out to: hearthatsnap, ironpotato. Because I talked to you about this, shout-out to mk.
Lyrics:
I turned on the Radio
And heard a disturbing story about on one of you
It seems you killed your father and nobody ever knew
And that got me to thinking the world is ending soon
Ohio
I went to the grocery store
And bought all of the water that I could afford
All of the canned goods that could fit in my car
I put them in my attic and filled up my tubs
Began digging a hole in the yard just because
when my wife left and took the kids, I was almost done
I shouldn't listen to the radio.....
Ohio
I shouldn't listen to the radio
Radio....
Not sure why you don't just farm everybody's section out to jonaswildman all the time. Lives up to his name- this is bonkers (in the best way)! Such a cool development. Sounds pretty full- I'd be hesitant to add much else for fear of it getting in the way of something good. Still putting my chips in the song you shot out yesterday...
Yeah, for some reason jonaswildman wants to pursue his own songs and not all of mine :) -His album is one that I cannot wait to hear. I agree that it sounds full, that's why I tried to suggest just intro/outro parts. Particularly the intro, it seems a little too sparse for what's about to happen. What do you think? Still putting my chips in the song you shot out yesterday...
-That's great! I'm excited about that one. I enjoy the lyrics on it quite a lot.
Thanks peter! I was listening to This American Life and heard a story about a guy that killed his dad and just sort of went on with his day and didn't tell anyone. It freaked me out. jonaswildman is playing the synth. Are you a musician peterlake? We do #hubskioriginalmusicclub collaborations from time to time. They're a lot of fun.
Heh yes, I'm new to Hubski and have been lurking around this tag listening to all the cool stuff here for a few days. I see your name everywhere, it's crazy and fantastic how much good music you and the other people here make. It makes me constantly aware of how much better I can get. Very motivating.
Wow, thanks! That's really nice to hear/read. What do you play? All of us seem to have different skills/styles and levels of competency. We have an abundance of bass players for some reason. It's like the opposite of my real-life band experience. I never could find a stable bass player.
Ha, I play bass. In descending order of competency I play bass, guitar, vocals, keyboard, and sometimes I'll pluck around on my sister's violin that she quit playing when she was a kid, or a ukulele. In reality I have no idea what I'm doing with most of these, I just fake my way through them.
Thanks for listening mk. That "Ohio" refrain was a funny happening. I meant to just sing "Ohhhhh" but somehow the word "Ohio" came out. Written on the page of hastily scribed lyrics was just "Oh." Sometimes, instincts make ya do things in the moment and more often than not, they're the right things if you listen. I hate Ohio and therefore, it was the perfect place/song to place it.
In case anybody cares, here is the radio program that was the impetus for this song: http://m.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/492/dr-gilmer-and-mr-hyde
Wow, this is killer. I especially love the layered vocals at the end of the track. All around great stuff on this, but I absolutely love the lyrics and your vocal work on this.
Thanks man, jonas is an animal. Have you heard the original? I posted a link in the post. It's amazing where he took the song imo. Also, thanks for the introduction to Bombadil. I love what I'm hearing a lot. It sounds great and it really does sound "fun" without being campy. I'm buying it. Thanks again!!!!!!! I fucking love music.
