I've been listening to Mozart Symphonies on my walk to work, and then, on days when I close, Motown as we clean up. It's an odd, but not unrelated combination.

Seriously, Jermaine Jackson can play the bass.

Classical music is a go to when I am writing code, and Motown is awesome. That Jackson 5 clip is incredible and made me look up a few of my recent favorites: [Jeff Beck with Stevie Wonder-Superstitious @ Madison Square Garden]

[Claude DeBussy: Clair De Lune]
[Sibelius / Jascha Heifetz, 1960: Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 47 - Walter Hendl, CSO (Movement 1) ]
[Beethoven - 7th Symphony (Complete) ]
[The Best of Tchaikovsky]

The violins make me feel like someone is rubbing their fingers across my scalp.

I didn't realize that Jermaine played bass on the live stuff and on some of the later records. I know that most the early recordings used my all time favorite bass player, James Jamerson (and Babbit on a few tracks). I guess Jamerson rubbed off cause Jermaine was holding it down in fine style.
